The 200,000th visitor to the exhibition “Macht Urlaub - The Kdf Seaside Resort in Prora and the People´s Community”, was heartily welcomed on Friday the 17th October 2008. The manager of the Documentation Centre, Dr. Jürgen Rostock, handed Mr. Norbert Klecka from Seevetal near Hamburg a bouquet of flowers and lead him and his companion Mrs. Renate Schüre through the exhibition.

Mr. Klecka is currently enjoying his holiday on Rügen. As a history teacher he is particularly interested in the history of the former “KdF- Seaside Resort” Prora. He was so impressed by the exhibition that he stated he would form a booster club for the Documentation Centre and promised to join as a member.

Most visitors tend to come to Prora during the summertime. They come from all over the Federal Republic. Many visitors from Scandinavia and other countries also come to the exhibition. The inhabitants of Rügen also enjoy lectures and reading nights at the Documentation Centre.
