You can reach us by train from Stralsund-Bergen or Binz/Rügen to the station Prora (Nord) or Prora-Ost. For a precise planning, please, click here.

You take the Bus lines 20 or 23 of the Rügen local public transport and go to the station Prora (Nord) or Prora-Ost. For Bus schedules, please, click here.

By car you go from Stralsund via the Rügendamm on the B 196 via Karow and further to Prora.




The documentation centre is situated in the centre of the complex next to the former theatre.


Please, wear warm clothes in spring, autumn and winter. We are financially not in a position to heat our exhibition rooms sufficiently so you could stay there for a long time without a coat or a warm jumper.



opening times

March, April, May, September, October daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

June, July, August daily from 9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

November, December, January, February daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Daily guided tour (ca. 60 minutes) 11:45 a.m. and 02:30 p.m. in German,
Guided Tours in English and Swedish possible on request, fee on request



admission fee

Adults: 5 EUR
Reduction: 3 EUR
Familiy Card for parents and their children under 18: 12 EUR
Family Card for ONE parent and his children under 18: 6 EUR
Children under 13: admission free

For the public tours we charge an additional fee of 2 EUR.
